Firstly, I would like to express my deep gratitude for the opportunity to spend a semester at Jissen Women’s University. Life in Tokyo has tremendously changed my perspective and way of thinking. My study abroad semester helped me gain deeper knowledge about Japanese culture and people. Throughout my journey I've met many Japanese people and not only Japanese, but foreigners too and have made lifelong friends. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many inspiring and kind individuals, including professors and staff members at the university. I’ve participated in many university-organized events which gave me a chance to connect more closely with Japanese people. Living in Japan for four months has taught me countless valuable lessons. Ever since I got here I've been closely observing and learning about everyday life in Japan. It amazes me how well-organized, efficient and convenient Tokyo is. I’ve visited places such as Kamakura, Asakusa, Ginza, Ome, Takao and many more. Each city has left a different impression on me. Every place I’ve visited is unique, filled with its own history, charm, and atmosphere. From the peaceful temples of Kamakura to the vibrant streets of Asakusa and the elegance of Ginza, every experience has added something special to my journey in Japan and I want to say the biggest thank you to each Japanese person who has helped me and made my stay here unforgettable!
